There are some really cool, photogenic spots in the Blue Ridge of NC. And some great, lesser known backcountry areas and hikes. The Blue Ridge Parkway to Grandfather Mtn or Mt Mitchell (highest spot east of the rockies), then down into, the very remote, Linville Gorge or Wilson creek. That would be a fun episode.
Rainier. The place is unearthly. Nights in the back country beneath a glowing mountain. Crystalline streams carved in stone. Meadows drenched in blue lupine. You can't shake this place. Even now, sitting by my computer, a thousand days stir my soul. You need to go.
I mentioned this on the FB page but since I just found this forum I thought I'd mention it here too. You can never get enough of a good idea. :-) A whole show dedicated to the beauty of the fall colors as found in the Eastern Sierra. John.....aka....Ralph ;-)
